MLS Technical Training

State-Wide MLS offers an ever-growing list of technology-based products and services that, when used to their potential, will certainly enhance your business. However, to really take advantage of what these products have to offer, proper user training and access to expert knowledge is critical.

A reminder to all MLS Members:  On-line Tutorial videos and On-line training manuals can be accessed by logging into FUSION and clicking ‘Help’ and ‘On-Line Help’ at the top of the page.

The below classes are FREE to all MLS Members, however, registration is required.

 New Agent - Intro to MLS Class

This class is for New Agents who have just joined MLS. This class gives agents the required knowledge of MLS Rules, Regulations and Policies so that you can provide service to your clients while avoiding difficulties, penalties and fees. This class also gives New Agents Hands-On Training using the new FUSION system, how to use it and utilize all of its features. You will also learn where to find all the resources you need to conduct your daily real estate business. This class is beneficial for all New Agents who have just recently joined MLS.  (New Administrators and Brokers are also welcome to take this class)

Please Note: This is not a mandatory class. In order to attend this class an agent must be a member of MLS and have received their MLS ID and Password. In order to use the hands-on portion of the class you will need to either know or bring your MLS ID and Password with you to the class.

Basic Hands-On FUSION Class

The Hands-On FUSION class is for New Agents, New Brokers or Administrators looking to learn how to use FUSION and any MLS member who needs a refresher course. Held in the MLS Computer Lab (Tech Training Room) this class will go over all the functions of FUSION, help you become proficient with searching, managing clients, and show you how to manage your listings, produce more effective CMA's and more!  You must have your MLS ID and password and have logged into FUSION at least once to accept terms & conditions.

FUSION Basic CMA Class

In this hands-on session you will learn how to create thorough CMA reports for your seller and buyer clients for print and/or e-mail. Using FUSION you can access MLS Data, add FSBO data and use information from public records to add comparable properties, make adjustments and customize the report. You should have basic knowledge to get the most out of this class.

Report Editor Class

This hands-on session will give you the knowledge to identify and edit reports in MLXchange. You will edit existing reports and create new reports, including property flyers, listing reports, statistical reports and more! You should have basic knowledge of MLXchange to get the most of this session.

Hands-On Fusion Class for Appraisers

 Transit Class

Get the most of FUSION: learn the Transit document management system and learn how to find on-line forms and contracts. Keep track of all post-offer documents, share with all applicable parties to the transaction and edit from any computer with internet access. You should have a basic knowledge of FUSION to get the most of this class. *Please note: in order to access Transit you must be a member of RIAR in addition to MLS*

Learn how to use RI’s leading Real Estate website. See how consumers search for properties, open houses, etc. AND learn how to run Traffic Reports showing how many viewings your listings have gotten at RILiving.com, create Showcase Property Ads, and increase your internet presence. You must have your MLS ID and password and have logged in at least once.

From the AnswerLink Support Central you can now access a variety of Tutorials and Videos or download FUSION guides and manuals by clicking the 'Documents' icon.

From 'How to' for beginners on FUSION learn how to Add/Modify listings, functionality, searches, email listings customizing, and automating common tasks. In the manual section you will find guides on how to optimize FUSION, create CMA's and Email Templates, learn how to use Date Co-Op, advanced mapping, statistics and more.
